A story about a curious boy who unexpectedly falls through a magic puddle while waiting for the school bus. Equipped only with his imagination, Zachary embarks on a quest to find his way home from a strange and unknown world.
His mission to get home quickly turns into an adventure as Zachary finds himself not only living out his most whimsical fantasies, but having to confront his worst nightmares and conquer armies of suspiciously familiar monsters.
Will Zachary be stuck in this fantasy world forever; fighting through nightmares and living out his wildest dreams, or will he find his way back home, and in time to catch the bus to school?
Authors
Jett Rosen
Jett lives, breathes, and dreams about three things. Books, video games, and music. He devours as many as two thousand pages a week reading, dominates LEGO Batman, Super Smash Bros. and Minecraft, and rocks out on the drums whenever he can. Jett loves to have fun, but is also committed to helping others. Due to a severe tree nut allergy, Jett made the decision that when his first book (The Magic Puddle) was published, he and his sisters will donate a portion of proceeds from book sales to F.A.R.E., a foundation for food allergy research.
Nicole Rosen
Nicole is an avid reader, proficient baker, and talented musician. She has won first place in Reflections, a national creative arts competition for two consecutive years in the categories of art and literature. Due to a severe peanut and tree nut allergy, she has developed a true love of baking delicious desserts that her family and friends can safely enjoy. This is easily one of Nicole’s gifts that her family appreciates the most! Nicole’s passion for music motivates her to continue learning to play the piano and the clarinet. When she’s not in school, you’ll most likely find her painting in her room, with her headphones on, dancing and competing at the local dance studio or reading novels, such as The Divergent Series.

Jessica Rosen
Jessica is the oldest sibling of The Magic Puddle’s three authors. If she could spend all her time reading books by the fireplace, writing fan-fiction short stories, traveling to new places, teaching dance, and competing in national dance competitions, she’d be living her dream! Of course, she still needs time to hang out with her friends. While Jessica is definitely a New York City girl, she would eventually love to reside in California.
